SWEET SAVING ON A CHRISTMAS TREE

Yesterday evening my husband and I went shopping for a Christmas tree. Even though it was slightly raining and was around 7:00pm, I think we did very will in finding a very nice Christmas tree. I didn't want to go to the same place we went last year that was just around the corner. I felt we could shop around and find a Christmas tree that would not cost us a lot of money and give us some sweet savings. Plus we also wanted to go for a ride and enjoy looking at different houses with their Christmas decorations. We drove about 16 miles away from Erie and my husband found the perfect location to pick our tree, and their prices were pretty reasonable. The gentlemen that helped us was very nice to us because even though it was dark (we did have our car head lights on) this nice man lifted the Christmas trees's that were on the ground and displayed them by turning each and every one around for us to check them out (well, not all of them!) The first one that he picked out to show us was very nice and I said to him "I like this one, but this is too easy!, I think we need to look at the other ones to make sure" He was so friendly and happy to demonstrate and turn the Christmas trees around, but I still liked the first one and so did my husband. When I told the gentleman that I still like the first tree, he told us we had picked the right one, hurried up and nicely wrapped the Christmas tree and helped my husband load it on our van. This was about a 6 foot tree and only cost us $16.00. The tree we bought last year was a small one and we paid more than twenty dollars. I'm thankful for the sweet savings on the Christmas tree & the ride me and my husband enjoyed.

Hi my friends,
It's been quite a long time since I've blogged, but I'm back to my blogging!
My husband and I went to visit my family in San Jose, California for Thanksgiving. It was a happy and fun week just to see and be with my sons, daughter & grand kids. My mother, father and sisters joined us also. The turkey dinner was excellent and it truly was a great day to be thankful! We also celebrated Christmas that same day. My grand kids couldn't wait to open their gifts, and I enjoyed seeing their excited faces when they opened their presents. Before we left we treated them to Chucky Cheese Pizza and they had fun with the games. I was so happy to see all my family and friends again, yet it was very hard to say goodbye. I really thank God for giving us a safe trip, and I also thank my sister Linda and her husband Tito for their hospitality and offering one of their rooms for us to stay in. It really helped us save money for this trip.
